In this day and age, it’s hard to believe that a person can enter a restroom on a military installation and see racist graffiti scrawled all over the walls in the bathroom stalls. Yet, while waiting for a flight out of Ali Al Salem, Kuwait, I saw just that.
It is very sad that our soldiers from all different backgrounds would write such hateful things about their fellow troops. It depletes morale and divides our forces. Rather than filling out a work order to have the walls repainted, the senior leaders and equal opportunity staff should join together and make a big production of it, having troops come together and paint the walls.
