I am truly tired of the debate over gays in the military. Let’s get past the moral debate, which will change depending on a person’s opinion, and head straight to regulation.

We do not talk about sex in the workplace. I do not want to know whom you sleep with and, as long as it’s not illegal, it should not be brought up whether you are gay or straight. Regulations are still there to protect us and guide our behavior. Talking about sex in the workplace is punishable under the Uniform Code of Military Justice and therefore, being gay in the military should not be an issue.

People do not get "rights" because they prefer to sleep with same-sex individuals; nor should the Church have to sanctify a union that goes against what it believes. That’s like inventing a game and having someone else come in and change your rules. There has been no proof that sexual preference is anything more than that ... a preference. People who are gay today can be straight tomorrow and no one should get any special attention because they like kinky sex. Get over it. Let’s stop giving this topic more credit than it is due.
