I enjoy a good conspiracy theory as much as the next guy, but I think it’s time to put the "Obama was born in Kenya" thing to rest.

It has even less basis in truth than the "Obama is a Muslim" claim that was all over the Internet before the election. In July 2009, the House of Representatives voted 378 to 0 in favor of a resolution that contained the text, "Whereas the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama, was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961."

If there was any doubt whatsoever, you’d think that at least one Republican would have objected. If John McCain had been elected, I wonder if we’d now be seeing claims that he isn’t eligible to be president. He actually was born in the Panama Canal Zone.
