[In response to] "Freeze Trijicon contracts" (letter, Jan. 21), although I applaud the Department of Defense’s program to educate soldiers in understanding host nations’ religions and customs, it is time for the pendulum to swing in the other direction.

Trijicon has been placing Bible verses on its product for many years. They continue to do so in respect for the company’s founder. Maybe we should spend time educating those countries we are currently assisting in the fight against terrorism that our religious choice may or may not be part of the military, but it is part of the fabric that makes up America.
