Nobody knows better than Stars and Stripes what you go through downrange. Except you. So we want your help in telling your story. Submitted by Sgt. Katrina Bartelt, 313th Military Police Detachment, Baghdad, Iraq: "Sgt. Josh Riley and Sgt. Corey Scheiber at the parade grounds in Baghdad Iraq while taking a rest during convoy duties."

Submitted by 2nd Lt. Bridget Deuter, Co. A, 96th Area Support Battalion, 101st Aviation Brigade, Camp Speicher: "Lt. Col. Glenn Marchi, 642nd Division Aviation Support Battalion, 42nd Infantry Division, New York Army National Guard, interacts with local Iraqi school children near Tikrit, Iraq, Oct. 5."

Submitted by Lt. Stephan Bolton, Crazyhorse Troop, 1st Squadron, 3rd ACR: "An Iraqi boy next to 'peace' graffiti on the wall outside his home. Taken during Operation Restoring Rights in Tall'Afar, Ninewah province, Iraq. The Qadisiyah neighborhood had been largely deserted prior to this op, and families and their children were a rare presence on the streets until recently."

Submitted by: Spc. Zachary Foote, 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division: "In these photos Spec. Reid and an unknown soldier play with some wild dogs while on an escort in Kirkuk, Iraq."

Submitted by Staff Sgt. Jeremy Mickelson, 8th Ordnance Quick Reaction Force, stationed at al Taqaddum, Iraq: "Here is a picture, taken by Spec. Lindsey Buchanan, of The 8th Ordnance QRF Team doing Training at Camp Ridgeway."

Submitted by 2nd Lt. Adrian Fan, stationed at FOB Falcon, Iraq: "Soldiers from Lightning Troop, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment changing tank tracks in the motor pool. It was about 130 degrees in the sun."

Submitted by 1st Sgt. Kenneth Blasko, 360th Transportation Co.: “The photo was taken October 18 by Sgt. John Oldroyd on the outskirts of southern Tall 'Afar, Iraq while on a barrier mission in support of the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment and the constitutional referendum. At each location we stopped and passed out soccer balls and gum to the children. This little guy, being held by 1st Sgt. Kenneth Blasko, 360th Transportation Company, just couldn't get enough attention from us.”

Photo submitted by Sgt. 1st Class Kevin Green, HHC, 63rd Signal Battalion., Camp Navistar, Kuwait: “This is a photo of Spec. Antwan Brown of HHC, 63rd Signal Battalion at Camp Navistar, Kuwait. He is running fiber optic cable from Camp Navistar to Coalition Crossing on the Iraq-Kuwait border. My thought when I saw this shot was, ‘even with all of the technology we have, things still have to be done the old-fashioned way sometimes.’ ”

Photo submitted by Capt. Walter Cornett of the 448th Civil Affairs Battalion, stationed at Camp Liberty in Baghdad: “Here I am applying a sling to the broken arm of a young Iraqi man in Taji, Iraq. Interacting with the Iraqi children has been the most enjoyable part of this deployment and their impressions upon me will last a lifetime.”
