Nobody knows better than Stars and Stripes what you go through downrange. Except you. So we want your help in telling your story. E-mail us your digital photos, depicting what life is like wherever you are, whether on the FOB or on a mission somewhere in the wild. It’s “Your View” of your role in the wars, whether Iraq, Afghanistan or somewhere else. Candid (not posed) shots are best, and please include your name, unit, location and a short caption explaining the picture and your thoughts when you took the shot. Selected photos will be used in the paper and here at stripes.com. E-mail your photos to: view@mail.estripes.osd.mil.

Submitted by Spc. Nantena M. Beller. Army Spc. Tom Ollenburger of the North Dakota National Guard pulls security duty outside of a border control point on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Submitted by Chief Warrant Officer 2 Walt Crafton, Camp Victory South, Baghdad. An Airman fishes on a Friday evening at the Al Faw Palace lake. My thoughts when I took the picture: I wonder if he uses his M16 to shoot the big ones?

Submitted by Spc. Michael Weinsheimer, 303rd Psychological Operations Company, Camp Liberty, Iraq. This shows that some kids have become creative when it comes to asking soldiers for something free. How can you not give this kid something? Besides getting some candy and a soccer ball, he was able to make a few soldiers laugh, too.

Submitted by Chaplain (Capt.) Raymond E. Folsom, 27th Transportation Battalion. This was our largest event yet and took months of planning. Troops distribute 61 boxes of aid to Habur Gate, northern Iraq.
