Submitted by Walter Cornett, Civilian Contractor Department of the Army. A couple soldiers stationed at Kandahar Airbase in Kandahar, Afghanistan, fight the friendly fight in their company area during some downtime on a Friday afternoon.

Members of the New Mexico-based 126th Military Police check out remnants of a massive chandelier that once hung in the palace above Saddam Hussein’s famed bunker in the International Zone. Although the bunker was undamaged, the palace took eight direct hits from bunker buster missiles in March 2003.
