Submitted by Navy Lt. Tim Schul, 432nd Civil Affairs Battalion, Camp Taji, Iraq. I took this picture while on an assessment of the Kadasiya School in eastern Anbar province. Assessment team member Capt. A. “Marty” Martinez, 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, was walking along when this child popped up and gave me a thumbs up! I wondered if he was wishing he was in school or wishing he was a soldier.
