YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan — The 374th Airlift Wing wrapped up a two-day mobility exercise Tuesday in a final tuneup for the March 12-21 Operational Readiness Inspection by Pacific Air Forces.
The event focused on logistics readiness squadron functions but included a wing-wide recall and simulated deployment of personnel and cargo, said Capt. David Westover, a Yokota spokesman. The 730th Air Mobility Squadron also took part.
He said most of the drill was staged in Building 400 — the LRS cargo yard — along the flight line and in different command centers throughout the wing. It provided base leadership, the logistics readiness squadron, deployment managers and medical officials “a final chance to optimize their processes and procedures” before the PACAF inspection.
