The Würzburg Health Clinic on Monday will begin the move to its new home on Leighton Barracks.

Currently housed in the Würzburg American Hospital, the clinic is moving to Building 24 on Leighton, where it will share space with the Leighton Dental Clinic.

A press release from U.S. Army Garrison Schweinfurt said that the new clinic, along with the Tricare service center, medical records section, pharmacy, laboratory services and wellness clinic, is scheduled to be fully operational by Sept. 30.

The move is the second in a three-part hospital relocation plan that will move the Army’s Medical Department Activity Bavaria to Vilseck, Germany, in 2008, Capt. Jerry D. VanVactor, MEDDAC Bavaria chief of logistics, said in the release.

Clinics in nearby Kitzingen and Giebelstadt were closed in 2006, around the same time the 1st Infantry Division left Leighton for Fort Riley, Kan. For information about appointments or services, call DSN 350-2317 or 350-3854, or 0931-889-2317 or 0931-889-3854.
