Vilseck-based soldier killed in Afghanistan

GRAFENWÖHR, Germany — A 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment soldier has died of wounds suffered in an insurgent attack in Afghanistan, according to the Department of Defense.
Sgt. Eric M. Nettleton, 26, of Wichita, Kan., died Wednesday in Tirin Kot of wounds suffered in Dehjawz-e Hasanzay when insurgents attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device, a DOD news release said.
Nettleton was assigned to the Vilseck, Germany-based 1st Squadron, 2nd SCR.
