A Vilseck, Germany-based soldier was killed Thursday in Iraq when his vehicle hit a roadside bomb, according to a Pentagon news release.

Spc. Joshua A. Molina, 20, of Houston, died in Baghdad of wounds sustained in the attack, the release stated. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, based in Vilseck.

Molina was the second soldier from the squadron killed in Iraq last week. Staff Sgt. Joseph D. Gamboa, 34, of Yigo, Guam, died Tuesday from wounds received when he came under indirect fire in Baghdad, according to a Pentagon release.

A combined memorial service for Gamboa and Molina tentatively is set for Wednesday.

The regiment has sustained 19 deaths since it deployed to Iraq last May.
