Saints fan 'determined not to watch Super Bowl' dies before kickoff

Saints fans jammed New Orleans on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019, so they wouldn't have to watch the Super Bowl. Henry A. Jaume Sr. probably would have joined them, but he died hours before the start of the game.

(Tribune News Service) — His Hail Mary took him to the grave.

One Saints fan "determined not to watch Super Bowl LIII" got his wish and died hours before kickoff, according to his obituary published this week in The New Orleans Advocate.

Henry A. Jaume Sr., an Army veteran and law enforcement officer, apparently was still not over the morbid NFC championship non-call, so he went the way of his team's killed Super Bowl dreams, while many other Saints fans danced the streets of The Big Easy to absolve their sorrows.

The cause of death for Jaume, 65, was not revealed, though he was likely grinning from above as the Rams dropped the stodgy championship game to New England.
