A Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldier is accused of fondling his former supervisor and taking graphic pictures of her while she was sleeping.

The 33-year-old was charged Monday with second-degree rape.

Pierce County prosecutors said more charges may be added after investigators analyze his cell phone.

The assault took place early Sunday after the man, the victim and the victim’s husband went out drinking in Tacoma.

Charging documents give this account:

The trio went back to the couple’s home after drinking because the defendant planned to sleep in a guest bedroom, something he did on occasion.

The victim said she woke up on the couch after feeling someone inappropriately touching her and saw the defendant snapping pictures with his cell phone. Her clothing had been pulled down to her knees.

She screamed for her husband, who came running.

The husband told detectives “the defendant looked terrified and kept saying he was sorry,” records show.

He demanded to look at the man’s cell phone and noticed two photos were marked to be deleted.

The husband couldn’t tell what the pictures were of so he handed the phone back to the soldier and demanded that he leave their home.

The man was arrested on base hours later.

He said he woke the woman up so she could join her husband in bed and she started screaming at him and demanding to see his phone.

“When asked why she would say what she did, he said he believes she has hallucinations due to drinking alcohol and taking prescription drugs,” records show.

The soldier admitted to drinking heavily that night, including three glasses of wine, three glasses of whiskey, a glass of rum and a mixed drink.
