Eleven Fort Bliss soldiers injured, two critical after ingesting unknown substance

EL PASO, Texas (Tribune News Service) — Fort Bliss officials said that 11 soldiers were injured, including two in critical condition, after ingesting an unknown substance Thursday during a field training exercise.
The soldiers are under medical care and an investigation is underway, the U.S. Army post said in a news release Thursday night.
Details on what occurred and the circumstances of what the Army described as "an incident" were not immediately available.
Fort Bliss stated that more information would be released when available.
