STUTTGART, Germany — The U.S. European Command received $269,185 from the 2004 Combined Federal Campaign Family Support and Youth Program, according to a news release.
The money represents a direct return to the community of donated funds by servicemembers and other federal employees, and is to be used to enhance local family programs, youth sports, recreation programs, camps and outings, the release said.
In 2004, more than $526,000 was returned to military communities overseas through the program.
Those who wish to contribute to their local installation’s Family Support and Youth Program may do so by recording the code letters FSYP on the pledge card, the release said.
The funds are distributed to the installation of origin and may be used to support quality of life for servicemembers, DOD civilians and their families as the local commander deems appropriate and in accordance with the appropriate service regulations.
