IPSWICH — Local authorities are looking into a report of an armed robbery that occurred at the co-op shop on July 25.

At about 7 a.m., a man who was working at the shop on Foxhall Road heard the door open. When he looked up, he saw a man wearing a ski mask and holding what appeared to be a handgun, a Suffolk Constabulary news release said.

Another man also wearing a ski mask and carrying what appeared to be a handgun then entered the shop. The two suspects threatened the employee and his female colleague, and demanded they open the safe. The thieves then took an unknown amount of cash, the release said.

The two employees were then bundled into a walk-in refrigerator within the storeroom by the two men, who escaped on foot.

Both suspects are described as black, around 5’8”, with slim builds, and wearing dark clothing and ski masks.

Woman sexually assaulted in restroomCAMBRIDGE — A 19-year-old woman was sexually assaulted while in the women’s restroom inside Club 22 on July 30, a Cambridgeshire Constabulary news release said.

The attack occurred at about 12:15 a.m. when the teenager from Canterbury was followed by an unknown man throughout the club on Hobson Street. The woman then went into the restroom, where the man tried to kiss her and then sexually assaulted her in a cubicle, the release stated.

She then pushed him away, locked the cubicle door and called the police on her mobile phone, the release said.

The man is described as Asian, about 25, around 5’9”, with a medium build, a round face and some stubble. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a blue T-shirt with a white logo, possibly a number, on the front.
