WISBECH — A 40-year-old man was left with head and face injuries after being attacked by four men as he walked along Bath Road in Wisbech, about 24 miles east of Peterborough.

The unprovoked attack happened Nov. 5 about 1 a.m. when the victim was walking home following a night out, according to a Cambridgeshire Constabulary news release.

The victim passed a man walking in the opposite direction, but nothing was said. A short while later the victim was punched from behind and then the face, knocking him down, the release stated.

He attempted to defend himself but was attacked by three more men who struck him several times with what was believed to be a wooden bat. The victim lost consciousness, and a resident called for an ambulance that took him to a hospital, the release stated.

Woman punched during altercationHUNTINGDON — Police are seeking information on an Oct. 28 assault in Huntingdon, located a few miles south of RAF Alconbury.

The incident happened at the Great Wall restaurant along High Street about 10 p.m. when a couple, waiting in the restaurant, was approached by a man and an altercation broke out. The incident moved out into the street, where the woman was punched in the face several times by the unknown man, according to a Cambridgeshire Constabulary news release. The man ran away down High Street.

The 49-year-old woman, from Huntingdon, and her 60-year-old partner, from the Cambridge area, both suffered minor injuries, the release stated.

15-year-old girl sexually assaultedBURY ST. EDMUNDS — Authorities are looking for witnesses and information after a man sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl in this town Oct. 28.

The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. in an area behind business premises on Risbygate Street, according to a Suffolk Constabulary news release.

The offender is described as about 5 feet 6 inches tall with short, spiky hair and wearing a dark shirt.
