HAVERHILL — Authorities are seeking witnesses to a robbery at a chemist’s store, according to a Cambridgeshire Constabulary news release.

A man entered the store on Harewood Terrace around 9:25 a.m. Sept. 18, threatened a female employee with a knife and demanded money. An unknown quantity of cash was handed over from a till and the man took off, the release stated.

The man is described as white and around 5-foot-10 with a slim build and a pale complexion. He’s estimated to be between 18 and 25 years old.

The man wore a dark navy blue or black duffle coat with a dark scarf over his face. He was carrying what is described as a kitchen knife and a small dark bag, the release stated.

Elderly man’s mobility scooter is missingRAMSEY — An 88-year-old man’s mobility scooter was taken from outside his home on Aug. 28, according to a Cambridgeshire Constabulary news release.

The scooter had been left unsecured overnight under a waterproof cover in the front garden.

Stolen car found abandonedWARBOYS — A blue Vauxhall Cavalier was stolen Sept. 10 from Ramsey Road, according to a Cambridgeshire Constabulary news release.

The theft occurred between 2:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. The car was later discovered abandoned in Acacia Avenue in Peterborough on Sept. 13, the release stated.

Constable Rachel Chandler is seeking anyone who saw the blue Cavalier during those three days.

Police believe burning cars were arsonGAMLINGAY — Two vehicles were set on fire next to a house, according to a Cambridgeshire Constabulary news release.

The incident took place on Charnocks Close just after 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 19. Fire services responded to the incident, which is being treated by police as arson. The family inside the home escaped without injury, the release said.
