RAF MILDENHALL, England — Two flag officer assignments have been announced by Adm. Mike Mullen, chief of naval operations.

Rear Adm. Michael K. Mahon is being assigned as deputy chief of staff for operations at Allied Maritime Component Command Northwood in London, a Department of Defense news release said. He is currently director of the Navy anti-terror team Deep Blue in the office of the chief of naval operations in Washington.

Rear Adm. Scott R. Van Buskirk is being assigned as deputy to the deputy chief of staff for political, military and economic business for Multi-National Forces-Iraq, the release said. He is currently commander of the Total Force Task Force in Washington.
