The 20th Tour de Tama mountain bike race will be held rain or shine Nov. 17 at the Tama Recreation Area.
The race is on a 5-kilometer — or 3.1-mile — loop, traversing hilly terrain on a mix of gravel and dirt trails. The course will open at 7 a.m. for preliminary bike inspections and rider practice, and the first category is to begin racing at 9 a.m.
Race length varies by entrants’ experience, with an expert-rider course running 20 kilometers in four laps.
Registration costs $25. To sign up or for more details, call the Outdoor Recreation Center at Yokota, DSN 225-4552, or at Camp Zama, DSN 263-4671.
