TKS outage Tuesday to affect Grafenwoehr, Vilseck
GRAFENWÖHR, Germany — Cable services on the Grafenwöhr and Vilseck posts will be interrupted for eight hours on Tuesday due to upgrades by provider TKS, the company announced.
The service outage will occur between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. and affect basic cable, including AFN, as well as digiCABLE and the Surf’n’Talk Internet and cable bundle, according to a TKS press release. The company says it is making network and security upgrades, which include expanded Internet bandwidth.
After 2 p.m. on Tuesday, TKS subscribes should restart any Internet-enabled devices, including a computer, cable modem/router and digiCABLE box, the release states, as each will need to acquire a new IP address. Once the device restarts, no further configuration is needed, according to TKS.
Customers with further questions can reach the company at their 24-hour customer service line, 01804 857 762. Each call to the customer line from a fixed German network costs 0.20 euros.
