Because the United States returns to standard time one week after Europe does, for the next seven days some AFN TV shows will air one hour earlier for viewers in Central Europe.
According to a news release from the American Forces Network, live sporting events on all channels and all shows on AFN-Pacific, AFN-Freedom, AFN-News and AFN-Sports will be seen 60 minutes earlier than normal. For example, this week NFL games will begin at 6 and 9 p.m. Sunday instead of 7 and 10 p.m.
Daylight-saving time ends in the States on Nov. 7, when programs from the AFN Broadcast Center in California will revert to their normal times for viewers in Europe.
Radio programming on AFN The Eagle and Power Network are affected by the time change.
