Three Pacific Air Forces generals at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, have been designated for new assignments, the service’s chief of staff announced in a Defense Department news release Monday.
Brig. Gen. Douglas H. Owens, PACAF’s assistant director of air and space operations, will become the 36th Wing commander at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam.
Maj. Gen. Edward A. Rice Jr., now the director of air, space and information operations for plans and requirements, is being promoted to PACAF vice commander. Maj. Gen. Jeffrey A. Remington, who had served as special assistant to the PACAF commander, is set to replace Rice.
