President Bush has nominated for promotion to brigadier general three Army colonels either based in Europe or heading there, the Pentagon has announced.

The three senior officers are James C. Boozer Sr., William C. Mayville Jr. and David G. Perkins. Each of the promotions is subject to Senate approval.

Of the three, Boozer is the newest addition to the European theater. He has been tabbed to serve in the office of the deputy chief of staff, U.S. Army Europe and the 7th Army.

Mayville currently serves as the chief of staff for the U.S. Army Southern European Task Force (Airborne). In that capacity, he also holds the same position within the Combined Joint Task Force-76, part of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, Perkins is commanding the Joint Multinational Training Command for U.S. Army Europe and the 7th Army.
