Bases across Japan are planning special meals and events for Thanksgiving. Here’s a rundown.

Yokota Air Base

■ The Teen Center will host a potluck for members and newcomers to base from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Sign-up list for food is at the Teen Center front desk. Call DSN 225-6793 for more information.

■ The Samurai Café will serve meals for all enlisted personnel, temporary-duty status officers and civilians, and retirees. Col. Jeff Newell, the 374th Airlift Wing commander, and other senior leaders will serve a holiday lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Breakfast is scheduled 6 to 9 a.m., dinner 4:30-7:30 p.m. and midnight meal 11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Call DSN 225-8022 or log on to YokotaSupport.com for more information.

■ Yokota’s enlisted and officers’ club ballrooms will have buffets from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $21.95 for adults and $11.95 for ages 6 to 11. Children 5 and under eat free. ■ Tama Hills Lodge will have a buffet from noon to 6 p.m. in the Kiji Dining Room. Cost is $18.95 for adults and $9.95 for ages 6-12. Children 5 and under eat free. Call DSN 224-3421 for more information.

Misawa Air Base

■ Misawa Chapel holds its annual Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service and Pie Social for all Christian denominations Monday at 4 p.m. in the Mokuteki Ballroom.

■ Single or unaccompanied enlisted personnel may eat at Grissom Dining Facility from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Call DSN 226-4463 for more information.

■ Also on Thanksgiving, Misawa’s Collocated Club will have a buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Tohoku Dining Room. Cost is $14.95 for adults, $7.95 for ages 6 to 12 and $3.95 for ages 3 to 5. Kids 2 and under eat free. Call DSN 222-9512 for more information.

■ The Potter Fitness Center is having an "After Thanksgiving Day Sale" Nov. 28 to 30. Call DSN 226-3982 for more information.

Sasebo Naval Base

■ The Shogun Café will serve dinner from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

■ The Harbor View Club’s buffet will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $17.95 for adults and $6.95 for children ages 4 to 10.

■ Galaxies will host a holiday meal and movies from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The movies will feature Bruce Lee and Clint Eastwood.

Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni

■ The Iwakuni dining facility will serve a holiday meal from 3 to 5:30 p.m. The meal is open to family members and Department of Defense civilians. The price is $5.35 for family members of grades E-1 through E-4 and $6.35 for personnel receiving commuted rations.

■ Club Iwakuni will have a buffet in its Grand Ballroom from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations are required, and the cost for the buffet is $15.95 for adults and $5.95 for children ages 4 to 10.

■ A buffet and Madden video game tournament will be held at the Hornet’s Nest beginning at noon. The event is free and is open to all single, unaccompanied Marines.

Naval Air Facility Atsugi

■ A Turkey Shoot will be held 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Skeet Range. SOFA personnel will have the opportunity to win a Thanksgiving buffet from the officers’ club. The $5 entry fee includes use of shotguns, shells and lunch. Call DSN 264-2605.

■ The officers’ club will be hosting a buffet from 3:30 to 8 p.m. The cost is $16.95 for adults and $8.50 for children. Reservations are required. Call DSN 264-3621.

■ The Single Sailor Lounge will be offering "Down to Your Last Buck," a full meal with all the trimmings. It starts at 4 p.m. and is free to single and unaccompanied sailors.

Yokosuka Naval Base

■ Club Alliance will be hosting Thanksgiving Homestyle from noon to 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale at the second floor cash cage.

■ Club Takemiya will be hosting a buffet from 5 to 9 p.m. The cost is $12.95 for adults, $6 for children 5 to 11 and free for children 4 and under.

■ Negishi All Hands’ Club will be hosting a buffet from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

■ The officers’ club will serve dinner from noon to 7 p.m. • The CPO Club will host "Turkey Time" from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Cost is $14.95 for adults, $7.95 for children 8-11 and $5.95 for children 5-7.

Camp Zama

■ All U.S. Army Japan personnel are invited to a Thanksgiving meal Wednesday at the Camp Zama Dining Facility. Base leadership will be on hand to serve the meal from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. A Thanksgiving dinner will be served from 4 to 5 p.m.

■ The Camp Zama Community Center will be hosting a Thanksgiving Day buffet from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the community center ballroom. The cost for the buffet is $16.95 for adults, $9.95 for children 8 to 12 years old, $5.95 for children 4 to 7 and free for children 3 and under. The price of tickets will be $2 more at the door.
