A nonprofit hunting group is offering a free African safari to one lucky servicemember to thank him or her for serving in the war on terror.

Safari Club International is conducting an essay contest for troops with a seven-day hunting trip to Botswana as the top prize. All troops currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, and any veterans who have served in those countries, are eligible for the contest.

To enter, troops need to submit a one-page essay titled “I’ve always wanted to go on safari in Africa because …” by June 1. Organizers have scheduled the trip for August, and the safari will be recorded by camera crews from the Outdoor Channel.
