The Pentagon is committed to opening combat military occupational specialties to women. But the services are still studying whether to integrate women into special operations units. Two women officers have graduated from the Army’s elite Ranger School. But some argue against assigning women to the Green Berets, Delta Force, SEALs or other special operations units is a step too far because of those units’ unique nature and missions.
