KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany — School officials at Ramstein American Middle School are looking into allegations that one teacher assaulted another.

A female teacher accused a male teacher of assault on April 6. She reported it to Principal Nancy Hammack on April 8, according to Frank O’Gara, a Department of Defense Dependents Schools spokesman in Europe.

She also filed a report with base security forces, O’Gara added.

O’Gara could not give details on the allegations because of the ongoing investigation.

“We take it seriously; we are investigating it and we will act appropriately on the findings of the investigation,” he said.

The female teacher accused the male teacher of taping her feet to the ground and knocking her over, according to sources familiar with the incident. It allegedly happened during school hours in front of students.

The investigation began less than a month after school officials found out a teacher at the middle school broke standardized testing procedures.
