From morning maintenance checks to fighter jet takeoffs and landings, there’s rarely a dull moment aboard an aircraft carrier.

Stars and Stripes reporter Chris Church spent a day aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt as it sails the Persian Gulf as part of the U.S.-led Operation Inherent Resolve.
