STUTTGART, Germany — Miles Johnson, a seventh-grade teacher at Robinson Barracks Elementary/Middle School in Stuttgart and longtime DODDS instructor, died unexpectedly over the weekend.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Robinson Barracks chapel.

Johnson, 62, was a teacher for 31 years. He worked at Department of Defense Dependents Schools for 22 years, including teaching stints in Frankfurt and Würzburg.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Chambers, also a teacher at Robinson Barracks Elementary/Middle School.

Messages of condolence can be sent to CMR 447 BOX 124, APO AE, 09020-0124. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the National Alliance for Youth Sports.
