VIETNAM: MY EXPERIENCE

Mark Richardson - Army

The night of March 6-7, 1967, under rocket and mortar attack more than 1,000 yards inside perimeter. I believe we lost 37 guys that night.

Second lasting memory was Nov. 18, 1967, our last briefing before leaving Fort Lewis to catch a plane home. An E-6 told us to lose our uniform before going to the airport or bus station. He was trying to get us home without trouble!
