Clark Foreid - Air Force

My first strong memory was on July 5, 1971. I experienced the horror of battle during an early-morning rocket attack of Da Nang Air Base.

My second memory was from the experience I had LA International Airport after I processed in from Vietnam at March AFB.

My flight home after arriving from Vietnam was from Los Angeles to Cleveland. While walking up to the terminal in LA I was called a "baby killer" and spit at by people on several occasions. This was more traumatic than the horror of battle.
