CAMP RED CLOUD, South Korea — Two Camp Eagle soldiers threw a bicycle at a taxi early Sunday morning in Chuncheon city, according to Chuncheon police.

At about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, two soldiers identified by police only as a corporal, 24, and a private, 20, allegedly threw the bicycle at a taxi that was stopped at a traffic light.

The bicycle damaged the door but the driver was not hurt, said Sgt. Jung Gwang-seok of the Chuncheon Police Department.

While fleeing from police, the private allegedly damaged a slate-roofed bar, police said. The two soldiers were questioned by police Sunday and returned to U.S. custody.

Three other soldiers also are being sought for possible involvement in the incident, police said. The soldiers were believed to be “slightly drunk” at the time, Jung said.

Police will question all five soldiers allegedly involved on Wednesday, Jung said.

“As they continue to investigate, we will offer them all the assistance we’re able to give them and cooperate fully throughout the investigation,” said 2nd Infantry Division spokesman Maj. Karl Ivey.
