The Army has identified the soldier’s wife killed in a vehicle accident Oct. 30 as 28-year-old Sheryl Siebrasse.

Siebrasse is the wife of Army Sgt. Joseph Siebrasse, a member of 2nd Battalion, 159th Aviation Regiment, stationed in Ansbach, Germany.

Joseph Siebrasse was deployed in Iraq at the time of the accident.

The couple’s two children, 12-year-old Amber and 8-year-old Joseph, were also injured in the accident. A release identifying the crash victims said the Ansbach garrison will not comment on the condition of the injured.

According to a German police report, the boy was severely injured, and was flown to Würzburg for treatment. The girl was treated in Aschaffenburg for shock, according to the report.

The Main Echo newspaper reported that the woman’s Dodge sport utility vehicle spun on the wet surface of the Autobahn 3 between Waldaschaff and Weibersbrunn, veered to the right, and struck a cargo truck that was parked at a roadside parking area. The accident occurred at about 8:45 a.m. Oct. 30.

Sheryl Siebrasse died at the scene, according to the German police report.
