GRAFENWOEHR, Germany — A 172nd Infantry Brigade soldier died this weekend after he was found “unresponsive” in his barracks room in Schweinfurt, Germany.

Pfc. Brandon L. Burdette, of Ashland, Ohio, was found in his room on Saturday and died at the scene, according to a 172nd news release.

The unit is planning a memorial ceremony for Burdette, a married father who worked as a fire direction radio operator with Bravo Battery, 1st Battalion, 77th Field Artillery Regiment. The cause of death is still under investigation, the news release stated.
