Yokota is conducting an Operational Readiness Exercise this week, base officials said.

Base residents are advised to expect changes to the day-to-day routine as the exercise progresses, including limited service at the base hospital and, starting Wednesday, closure of the south overrun road, a base spokesman said.

Also starting Wednesday, the Kanto Express shuttle service will be out of operation as the service is diverted to support the exercise.
