Sasebo sailors lend helping hand in Vietnam

Sasebo sailors from the USS Patriot and USS Guardian helped refurbish two schools in Hai Phong, Vietnam, during a community relations project, according to a U.S. 7th Fleet news release from Monday.
Michael W. Michalak, U.S. ambassador to Vietnam, attended as the servicemembers worked on the Hai Phong School for Deaf Children and School for Blind Children of Hai Phong.
Patriot and Guardian are assigned to Mine Division 11 as Task Force 76’s mine countermeasures arm in the Pacific.
