FUTENMA MARINE CORPS AIR STATION, Okinawa — Petty Officer 1st Class Sean Ryall from the Marine Aircraft Group-36 Night Imaging and Threat Evaluation Lab recently was awarded the Robert Graham Enlisted Award for outstanding performance.

The annual award is presented to an enlisted sailor who has exhibited, promoted and supported the Aeromedical Safety Program and played a major role in contributing to the operational readiness of Navy and Marine Corps aviation.

“I thought a few of my Navy friends … deployed with units in Iraq would have won this award before me,” Ryall said. “But I’m happy to have received it.”

Navy Lt. Chris Cooper, the MAG-36 aeromedical safety officer, said Ryall loves his job, always works hard and wants to share his knowledge with others.

Ryall spends most days at the MAG-36 night lab teaching aircrew members about night-vision equipment, laser safety and survival.

“His attitude toward mission accomplishment is why the squadron nominated him for the award and we’re glad he’s here instructing,” Cooper said.
