GRAFENWÖHR, Germany — An expected early homecoming for several dozen soldiers of the deployed 172nd Separate Infantry Brigade Thursday has been delayed, according to unit officials.

More than 70 soldiers with the unit were expected to return to Grafenwöhr on Thursday, but the return has been delayed and there is no new arrival date set, according to the brigade rear detachment.

Based on information provided by a unit public affairs officer, Stars and Stripes reported earlier Wednesday that the soldiers would attend a Thursday afternoon reunion celebration with their families.

The 172nd deployed to eastern Afghanistan last summer for a 12-month tour.
