NAPLES, Italy — Navy leaders last week lifted off-limits restrictions on a base pub that affected junior sailors assigned to the base hospital.

The restrictions were lifted after weeks’ worth of good conduct by the command’s sailors, a hospital official said.

Naval Hospital Naples restricted sailors E-5 and below from entering O’Rhy’s pub on the support site base in December after two incidents of alleged sexual misconduct involving two hospital-based female sailors, base officials had said.

Navy officials declined to provide any information surrounding the alleged incidents, citing an ongoing investigation by Naval Criminal Investigative Service. The incidents involved "felony-level criminal complaints within the Department of the Navy," base officials said in late December.
