Remington nominated for third star, South Korea leadership positions
Air Force Maj. Gen. Jeffrey A. Remington has been nominated for a third star and assignment to several key command positions in South Korea, the Pentagon has announced.
As lieutentant general, Remington would become deputy commander, U.N. Command Korea; deputy commander, U.S. Forces Korea; commander, Air Component Command, Republic of Korea/U.S. Combined Forces Command; and commander, 7th Air Force, Pacific Air Forces, Osan Air Base, Korea, the announcement said.
He would succeed Lt. Gen. Stephen Wood, who is retiring.
Remington is director of operations, plans, requirements and programs at Pacific Air Forces headquarters at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.
