Rear Adm. Swift tapped for Central Command post

A newly promoted admiral has been nominated to become deputy commander of the U.S. Navy’s Central Command presence, officials said Tuesday.
Rear Adm. (lower half) Scott H. Swift has been assigned to the post at U.S. Naval Forces, U.S. Central Command, in Bahrain.
Swift is currently the deputy executive officer for Naval Aviation and Tactical Air Systems at the Pentagon.
Among other previous assignments, Swift commanded Carrier Air Wing 14, which is assigned to the USS Abraham Lincoln.
