KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany — An airman assigned to Ramstein Air Base died Tuesday as a result of injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident which occurred March 31, a base official said Friday.
Airman 1st Class Nathan Smith, 21, was assigned to the 435th Construction and Training Squadron, 435th Air Ground Operations Wing at Ramstein, base spokeswoman Maj. Elizabeth Aptekar said in an email.
Smith, from Tiffin, Ohio, was a passenger on the motorcycle. The driver was treated at the hospital and released, Aptekar said.
No other details were available on the crash, which is under investigation.
