Air Force security forces found a Ramstein, Germany-based airman dead in his dormitory on Sunday, according to an Air Force news release.
The airman was assigned to the U.S. Air Forces in Europe Computer Systems Squadron. He was found around 6:30 p.m. in his room.
The name will not be released until 48 hours after the next of kin has been notified, said Erin Zagursky, an Air Force spokeswoman at Ramstein.
The Air Force did not provide any additional information on the cause of death or go into detail as to how security forces discovered the airman’s body.
“The incident is currently under investigation, and more details will be released as they become available,” the news release stated.
