LITTLEPORT, England — U.S. Air Force authorities are investigating the death last weekend of a 23-year-old RAF Mildenhall airman.

Senior Airman Paul E. Ruisinger, a flight line aircraft electrician for the 100th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, was found dead Saturday at his home in Littleport.

An RAF Mildenhall spokesman said authorities on base became suspicious after Ruisinger failed to show up for duty on Thursday. Cambridgeshire Constabulary spokeswoman Emma Hardy said officers found Ruisinger dead after being called to the house at about 3:15 a.m. Saturday.

The investigation is being conducted by the Air Force Office of Special Investigations and the Cambridgeshire Constabulary.

A native of Houston, Ruisinger served in the Air Force for five years and was stationed at Mildenhall since November 2005.
