YOKOSUKA NAVAL BASE, Japan — The Native Bloods wear fur. The Black Dragon dons a mask. Doink the Clown has a red nose and green hair.

Persona is one thing, but it’s prowess that counts in the ring when the professionals from International Championship Wrestling match up at military bases in Japan.

This week, Armed Forces Entertainment; Navy Morale, Welfare and Recreation; and Yokota Air Base’s Services Division brings “The Superstars of Wrestling — Bash at the Barracks II” wrestling matches and autograph sessions to Sasebo Naval Base, Yokosuka Naval Base, Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Misawa Air Base and Yokota.

Each show is free and features five matchups. Germany’s strong man Hans Mueller will take on All Japan Star The Black Dragon. Doink the Clown will go against Virgil/NWO Vincent.

Female wrestlers Michelle Morgan and Karma also will fight it out. The Native Brothers will take on the Ballard Brothers in a tag team match and the main event features a showdown between former World Championship Wrestling champions Norman Smiley and Disco Inferno.

The Japan stops are a part of a Pacific tour that includes South Korea, Guam and Hawaii.
