BAGHDAD — A prisoner at one the U.S. military’s detention facilities in Iraq has died, officials said Friday.

The unnamed prisoner, whose nationality was not released, was “pronounced dead at 11:53 on April 4 by an attending physician at Camp Cropper’s medical facility,” a U.S. military news release read.

There was no suspected reason given for the death. An autopsy will be performed, officials said, and the prisoner’s remains will be returned to the family.
