The steady chants of "air assault, air assault!" could be heard throughout the day Tuesday as the first air assault school held in Europe since 2005 took place at Camp Robertson just outside of Schweinfurt, Germany this week.

The 10-day rigorous course started with over 290 soldiers attempting to become air assault qualified. After the first day of training, known as "zero day," the numbers dwindled to just over 185 soldiers because of a physically demanding obstacle course and constant physical training to prepare qualified soldiers for the over 40-foot-high rappel towers.
