The Pentagon has identified a sailor who died Monday in Dubai after an apparent fall in the atrium of a hotel.

Airman Apprentice Adrian M. Campos, 22, of El Paso, Texas, was assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Support Squadron 22, which was attached to the USNS Arctic. Navy officials said the ship was supporting the Iraq war.

According to a 5th Fleet statement, Campos was found dead in the atrium of the Ramada hotel in Dubai around 4 a.m.

The incident is under investigation, with Naval Criminal Investigative Service agents on scene with host officials from Dubai.

The Arctic is one of the Military Sealift Command’s combat support ships.
